Thought for the Day/Week

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY/WEEK:

"In my view, the Christian religion is most important and one of the first things in which all children, under a free government ought to be instructed...No truth is more evident to my mind than that the Christian religion must be the basis of any government intended to secure the rights and privileges of a free people."

~Noah Webster- preface to 1828 Dictionary~

July- Time with family... Kevin Chaney's rehearsal and dinner

The rehearsal was at Country Lake Estates clubhouse in Fort Mill South Carolina It was a beautiful outdoor setting.
The kids played classical selections, chosen by Gabriela for the prelude and the ceremony.

A sudden storm began to blow in.
A vicious wind picked up...
The rehearsal ended quickly, and everyone made a mad dash into the clubhouse.
The remainder of the instructions were given in the lobby.
the rainstorm followed.
Kevin and his new in-laws
We all relocated to a Japanese steakhouse for the rehearsal dinner...which was a new experience for our family! Fun!
We all gathered around the table...Facing our chef, who began with a little "acrobatic show!
Then he prepared our food.

We had such a good time playing a game of "catch it if you can!!"

The chef continued to put on a great show for us.

"We're supposed to pick up our food with these?"
Afterwards, there was a time of reflection, admonition, and encouragement, complete with tears and laughter. Gabby's extended family who were unable to travel from Brazil gave the couple their words of blessing through a video presentation. The composer of the video added English subtitles so that we Americans could understand. The messages were heartfelt, and filled with encouragement to follow the Lord.

You'll have to see the next post to know if the wedding was rained out, or whether they were able to have their outdoor wedding.
