Thought for the Day/Week

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY/WEEK:

"In my view, the Christian religion is most important and one of the first things in which all children, under a free government ought to be instructed...No truth is more evident to my mind than that the Christian religion must be the basis of any government intended to secure the rights and privileges of a free people."

~Noah Webster- preface to 1828 Dictionary~

Lessons in Childcare

Both Hannah and Sarah recently had the opportunity to experience motherhood first-hand. Evidently, our sweet angel, baby Ruthy, has not been sleeping at night, causing much turmoil in the Dan Busenitz household. Sarah and Hannah were both anxious to spend a night or two ministering to the new parents, so last week, they each took a turn. Rebecca was able to take daily naps, and sleep all night for 3 nights. It was a very welcome and needed ministry to their family, but also a joy for Hannah and Sarah who learned much concerning the care of an infant and toddler, as well as tending to the needs of a home.
Lesson 1- What to do with "BED HAIR!" Ok, Hannah, this is not how we fix "bed hair"!...but I guess it works!
Lesson 2- "Can I hold the baby? Can I hold the baby? Please; Please; PLEASE!!!"
Make the best use of the resources at hand... Lesson 3: Avoid being stranded in a blizzard if at all possible...they may want you to stay another night!
(Hannah was happy to stay)
Lesson 4: Enjoy the happy, waking times. They pass by so quickly!
