Thought for the Day/Week

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY/WEEK:

"In my view, the Christian religion is most important and one of the first things in which all children, under a free government ought to be instructed...No truth is more evident to my mind than that the Christian religion must be the basis of any government intended to secure the rights and privileges of a free people."

~Noah Webster- preface to 1828 Dictionary~

February flakes and fun!

We have definitely seen more snow than usual this winter. Sometimes it is breathtakingly beautiful!Every small detail was defined on each branch of the tree in our front yard.

The entire back yard was covered with a thick white dusting.
This particular snow was gentle, clung to the branches, and was so thick we couldn't see between the trees in our back yard.

These are the culprits that trample the smooth blanket of snow, and turn it into a muddled mass of paw prints!

The girls went out and took a few photos, since the backgrounds were to beautiful.
Sarah took her violin to add that special touch.

Hannah added her special touch with...a BANJO!
Back near the creek- the temperature didn't freeze the water, as it hovered right at the freezing point that day.
Once the wind picked up a little, large amounts of snow began falling from the tree branches. It appeared to be snowing all over again.
As for the fun... We were able to keep Esther and Ruthy overnight so that Dan and Rebecca could spend a night at the "Castle Inn" in Wichita.
Esther enjoyed her time with her aunts... She learned many new things while she was here...
Esther's new word...NONONO!

They did things together that all girls do...They fixed each others hair...... tried on lipstick... ...talked about, uh, whatever they talked about... ...painted the fingernails...
...sang a little opera... (well, maybe not)...then made their beds on the floor to get ready to go to sleep.
The next morning we got the girls ready to go to church...Ruthy is ready! Daniel assists with the car seat. We had a fun time enjoying our two sweet little girls.
