Thought for the Day/Week

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY/WEEK:

"In my view, the Christian religion is most important and one of the first things in which all children, under a free government ought to be instructed...No truth is more evident to my mind than that the Christian religion must be the basis of any government intended to secure the rights and privileges of a free people."

Farewell party at Pastor Prigge's house

We have been enjoying the fellowship of the families from Grace Baptist Church. We were recently able to attend a farewell party for a young couple moving out of state.
We all gathered around the garage at Pastor John Prigge's home, where they had set up tables to serve a pot luck meal.

The event was a surprise to the couple. After the meal, there were 2 games of volleyball, some trampline jumping, lawn golf, baby kittens, visiting, and fun out in the open country air.

I'm not really sure what this game was. It started out as a young ladies volleyball game...

Then turned into a team sport which included waterfights!!! "Don't splash me with that, or I'll..." "Hey!!!" The "corner sneak" maneuverThe dads and young men enjoyed several rough vigorous games of volleyball

Samuel banged up his knee pretty good, but is much better now.
As darkness began to settle in, we were able to enjoy the cool breezes, fresh air and just relaxing with friends in the beautiful country setting.
