Thought for the Day/Week

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY/WEEK:

"In my view, the Christian religion is most important and one of the first things in which all children, under a free government ought to be instructed...No truth is more evident to my mind than that the Christian religion must be the basis of any government intended to secure the rights and privileges of a free people."

~Noah Webster- preface to 1828 Dictionary~

A Day at the Loewens

We were excited and privileged to recently witness the baptisms of Tyler and Heather Loewen.
In the morning, we attended their church service, then returned to their home for lunch. After lunch, we all got a chance to visit, and play some games together.

The guys are hiding out.

The kids really became creative with a sort of "pantomiming" game. They divided into teams, chose an event, story etc, and the other teams had to guess what they were doing. This is Sarah and Nicole's attempt, which must have been good, because the other teams seemed to guess it quickly!

Some of the kids were "melodramatic!"

There was quite a variety of creative ideas! What was especially nice was that even the youngest children were included.
Oh come on now Sarah. Even I can guess that one!
See if you can figure out this Old Testament Bible story...

Hannah, are you hiding from the camera?
It seems that all of our get togethers with the Loewen's eventually will include some sort of music.
After a quick supper, we all went to the church for the Baptism service. The kids were intrigued with the baptismal...
After giving stirring testimonies of their faith in Christ, both Heather and Tyler were baptised.

Afterwards, we were able to visit with some friends, both old and new.
It was a day filled with fun, blessings and fellowship. Thank you Loewen's for including us in this very special event.
