We were able to spend a long weekend in Joplin this year for Thanksgiving.
Of course, the first order of business was to prepare the Thanksgiving meal. This pie looks so good, we had a hard time cutting into it...but we did!
We were able to obtain a little help from the menfolk...

We enjoyed the food and fellowship of family
The one set-back was a vicious 24 hour flu bug- I believe it eventually made its way to everyone...some worse than others.
After dinner, we all gathered in the living room for a rousing evening of "Wi" fun!
The flying chicken game was a huge hit!

The next day, it was on to Silver Dollar City.
Nanny (Esther's name for Hannah) helped the girls choose some attractive hats. Is Ruthy under there somewhere?

After they returned home, it was back to the Wi.
Since most of us didn't get the flu until we left, we really enjoyed the weekend...and my kids decided that we also needed to get "Wi".
