Thought for the Day/Week

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY/WEEK:

"In my view, the Christian religion is most important and one of the first things in which all children, under a free government ought to be instructed...No truth is more evident to my mind than that the Christian religion must be the basis of any government intended to secure the rights and privileges of a free people."

~Noah Webster- preface to 1828 Dictionary~

Campin' out with friends

Tom Lingg and his daughters hosted a "father-daughter" campout last Friday evening. As you can imagine, it was a lot of fun for our girls, getting to spend time with dad, as well as many old friends.
The first order of business was to check the tents... it had been a while since they'd been used. "Yup, they are still standing". Once they arrived, they set up camp, and played some volleyball.
"Get it dad!"
Charity got to play with Faith Cook...and some other old friends.
Hannah enjoyed exploring the countryside.
Later that evening, dad went fishing with the girls... and the dog...
Emmi got to go camping and fishing?
After a cookout over a campfire, Mr. Lingg led some games.

Later, they made "smores".
The next morning, it was back to fishing!
You can guess who initiated this activity!
Sarah caught one!
So did Charity! Actually, they all caught at least one fish, but I've heard rumors that Hannah's was not much larger than a guppy...(there were no photos taken of this phenomenon) With a late night, and so much activity, it didn't take long for Charity to fall asleep on the way home.

Thank you Mr. Lingg for inviting us to this exciting event. We truly enjoyed ourselves.
