Esther is at Grandma's :-O

Esther got to go to Grandma's house while Mommy was shopping...

Grandma gave her some sugar cookies...

She ate lots of cookies...

...but she still wanted more...

...then she got sick...

...and had to lay down with Aunt Sarah for a while.

(Just for the record...no babies really got sick at Grandma's house. This was a story invented by
Hannah. The facts are that Esther deserved every cookie she got, and
felt really good the rest of the day! ;-)

Corn Maze

The Gerlachs took Daniel, Samuel, and Hannah with them to the corn maze in Beuhler, Kansas. They all had a great time. They found that the "flashlight version" is even more fun, so they stayed well past sunset. :-)

The corn was tall enough that the boys could hardly see over the top when they jumped as high as they could.

They had a race to see who could get through the maze first, and guess who won?

What are we doing? Trying to get through a corn maze? What corn maze?

Ok now, I think we need to go this way to find number nine! I have looked and looked, and I can't find it anywhere!

They'll never find their way out! This is why we won!

Since it was so late, they decided to have dinner/breakfast at Cracker Barrel.

Bluegrass in the Park

We were asked by the seniors of Kechi to do a bluegrass program in the Kechi park. We all had a great time playing some of our favorite bluegrass songs, and Rebecca was even able to work up the "Orange Blossom Special" again.

Sarah was our main fiddler for this program, and she did a great job!

Esther helped put the banjo out of tune.
Charity got to play a solo on "Bile Them Cabbage Down". The seniors loved her.
